Lambs

The daffodils of Farndale have returned, although my visit is probably 2 weeks too early to see them at their best.

Some are still asleep, some just flowering.

Farndale is a North Yorkshire Shangri La.

Tucked away as a valley off a road that crosses the Moors. The valley would meet most people’s definition of secluded.

with just a few farmhouses dotted around.

They are in wide fields under open skies.

In the valley was a Robin, showing well in the spring sunlight.

Also a Pheasant.

On the way back across the Moors, fine views of Danby dale and the villages of Danby and Castleton are seen.

Westerdale too.

And in Castleton, the sheep roam freely.
