Hole of Horcum

Carved by flood waters from the last ice age, the Hole of Horcum is a wonderful sight.

It forms a natural amphitheater, with a  narrow valley at its head which acts as an echo chamber. At this time of year, the heather contrasts well with the green grass and trees which flank the hillsides.
