Osprey at Lockwood Beck

Lockwood Beck hosted an Osprey.

He flew in from the south.

Then was mobbed by a Kestrel, which looked small in comparison!

Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus)

After being left alone, the Osprey circled around the Beck.

Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)

The bird settled on the far side of the beck, waiting patiently in a tree. Once a fish stirred the surface, it took off, and dived after it,

before settling in a new tree.
