Vernal Equinox

Lake Wilton had a surprise visitor this week – a Mrs Goosander.

She did a spot of fishing,

This left the lake in the capable hands wings of Pochards.

Meanwhile, back at Cafe Twitch, I saw the first butterfly of the year (too fast to tell what!).

On the back fence was a Dunnock, singing his all.

Finally, a Starling.

This was a relatively rare visitor to Cafe Twitch last summer.  Let’s see if the fine food tempts them more this year.
