Wildlife Watchpoint #2

A brief visit to the new RSPB reserve at Saltholme , but what a haul of different birds!

First, a fabulous siting of a Little Egret, which frequents the reserve.

Next, a serene Mute Swan, floating across the waters.

From the very large to the very small, a Little Grebe in winter finery.

On the feeders are Reed Buntings.  First Mr Bunting (with a black head) , then Mrs Bunting (more camouflaged)

Goldfinches were out in force.
