Sheep and Cafe Twitch

A brief trip to a small nook and cranny shows a cleft in the Moor populated by sheep

Once approached, they turn tail and cross a small bridge (built for people!) – shades of three billy goats Gruff?

and on the way back to Cafe Twitch are Thistles

Is it me, or are lots of wild flowers this time of year purple (as above, foxgloves, heather etc)?

Meanwhile back at Cafe Twitch a new visitor is on the Budlea

There are too many species of moth in Britain for a quick identification, so this one may have to wait. But here’s a Dunnock

Dunnock (Prunella modularis)

and more shots of a blackbird, nestling in summer flowers on the lawn.

Finally a new visitor – a Collared Dove on the look out for seeds on the lawn.

Collared Dove (Streptopelia decaocto)
